DR. RAKESH MOHAN JOSHI
Dr. Rakesh Mohan Joshi is the Professor and Chairperson,
International Projects Division. He is also the Project Director
of India-Africa Institute of Foreign Trade (IAIFT), a Pan
African institute being set up at Kampala.
Besides having a consistently meritorious academic background,
he has been awarded the prestigious Gold Medal by Indian
Institute of Foreign Trade for securing First Position in
Executive Masters in International Trade. He received his MBA
from Rajasthan University, Jaipur and EECPL from Harvard
Business School, Boston. He is also a qualified Lead Auditor for
ISO certification from British Standard Institute He has been
awarded various scholarships right from his school days till
post-graduation.
Prof. Joshi's areas of interest include International Business,
International Marketing, Global Business Strategy, International
Trade, Agricultural / Processed Foods Exports, International
Entrepreneurship and Higher / Management Education.
Prof. Joshi has a scholarly aptitude and a flair for writing.
His lucid style of writing makes his books interesting to read
and easy to comprehend. His remarkable contribution in the field
of management is evident from his books 'International
Business' and 'International Marketing' both
published by Oxford University Press which are widely
prescribed as the core text-books in several business schools
across the world. He has also written
several excellent case studies which are highly popular among
management students and teachers. Moreover, some of his case
studies have been awarded by London Business School and
published internationally, besides several other approbations.
He has conducted training programmes, teaching, research and
consultancy in several countries including China, the US,
Russia, UAE, Singapore, Egypt, Hong Kong, Thailand, Tanzania,
Oman, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa,
Uganda, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Mauritius etc.
In addition to several international assignments, recently Prof.
Joshi has been the Chief Resource Person for conducting
prestigious e-Learning Course on "International Trade in
Agricultural and Food Products" through VC for Asian
Productivity Organization (APO), Japan for participants based in
Cambodia, Fiji, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Islamic
Republic of Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Republic of China,
Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Prof. Joshi has extensive trans-national exposure and has also
been associated with several multilateral organizations, such as
the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
