OBJECTIVE:

The Post Graduate Diploma in International Business for Young Managers is a Programme specially designed to build a strong foundation in International Business Management and to provide options for specialization in focused functional areas. This program has been customized for the young managers with only a few years of work experience, especially those who would not like to leave their job and city.

 

PEDAGOGY

IIFT follows a pedagogy that has a healthy blend of both theoretical and practical aspects. The classroom sessions involving lectures, case discussions and presentations are designed to facilitate learning of theory along with its practical applications. The post session assignments/projects require the students to work on the concepts taught in the classroom. Participants are also exposed to lectures by industry experts for practical insights into industry trends and current issues.

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

The curriculum covers fundamental as well as specialized courses in the field of International Business Management.

Ø         Special focus on design and development of distributed material

Ø         Class sessions can be attended from any location (home, office, etc) as long as there is access to a good wired internet    connection.

Ø         All class sessions are live and facilitate two-way interaction between participants and faculty. Participants can see the faculty and the slides and also raise and answer questions

Ø         Lectures are thoroughly backed by research which the Institute regularly conducts for both trade & industry and the government.

Ø         Comprehensive case studies on each aspect characterize class-room sessions. 

Ø         Regular evaluation ensures that the participant has, indeed, imbibed both the knowledge and its application.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

 Eligibility

 Graduation degree with minimum 50% marks from recognized university & minimum of 3 years of work experience.  

MODE OF ADMISSION:  

Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their academic qualifications and experience .Selection will be through interviews of short listed candidates which will be conducted either on campus or online.

COURSE FEE:    

The tuition fee for the Programme is 2, 75,000. The participant is responsible for the payment of the Programme fee whether it is paid by the individual or by the employing organization. Partial sponsorship will also be accepted.

Fee is to be paid in three instalments as indicated below:

First instalment at the time of Admission:  1, 15,000

Second instalment at the start of 2nd Trimester:  80,000

Third instalment at the start of 3rd Trimester:  80,000

SC/ST/PH Candidates: 50% fee concession 

DURATION/VENUE/TIMINGS OF THE COURSE:  

Participants can opt for classes either on weekends (Saturday: 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm & Sunday: 9.00am – 6.00pm) or weekdays (6:30pm to 8:30pm, Monday to Friday) .They can mark their choice accordingly in the application form.  

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a “Post Graduate Diploma in International Business for Young Managers” from IIFT. Diploma will be awarded in Convocation of March/April 2014.
